Serve Jersey Shore is a faith based outreach and community service day in Ocean, Monmouth, Atlantic and Cape May Counties, NJ. Dozens of churches participate, as they serve in specific projects organized over a seven day Love Week. The churches fund their own projects that range from two to four hours each. The 2019 effort runs from Sunday, August 4 through Saturday, August 10. All churches and projects will be listed on ServeJerseyShore.com.
The purpose of this week is to show the love of Jesus Christ to thousands of our local neighbors through a manageable, synergistic and unified effort. Churches routinely do service projects, run food distribution ministries, and serve the least and the loneliest among us. But during Serve Jersey Shore, churches will collectively meet the needs of the community for the sole purpose of loving God and loving people. If your church would like to participate, please visit our Contact Us page. 50 different churches and ministries have participated since 2017.
The Jersey Shore Dream Center of Asbury Park inspired this week through their Serve 24 event in September 2016. This one organization led a unified effort to saturate the community of Asbury Park with activities and programs for 24 hours straight.
